This gives all the audio a bit more emphasis. Really giving the feeling of the music itself.
What does it do?
Compression
Though it is subtle, tape will slightly squash the audio to keep all the tracks more in line with each other.
Glue
To go along with the compression, the audio feels as though it is all glued together to feel like one.
